Look Who's Walking!

Yeayyy....Agasha is officially WALKING! This morning was so wonderful when bath time came and like usual this handsome-little-monsieur was so excited to jump into the tub then suddenly he performed his first Walk! So this happy Mommy is so overwhelmed with Joy and can't wait to see her adorable Prince start wandering around by himself (^^,)

Agasha walks at age 1 year 1 month, Alicia walked at 11 months, and Aisya walked at 10.5 months. Such a big different, heh?! Well, I don't care at what age my babies start to walk, as long as their developments are suited with the milestone, and healthy....I can't thank you enough to Allah SWT for the Blessings.....

Need to know :
Commonly, baby milestone to walk is around 9 months to 18 months. There are several stages that a baby must learned before he/she really start walking. Baby must learn to sit, roll over, and crawl. Of course each baby has their own way of learning or their own stages before their walk. Some like to crawl a lot, and some start to walking without having the Crawling stage. Again, the Developmental Milestone is just a standard for Baby's growth that adjusted with age and physical readiness. For more detailed of Baby Milestone, you can read at babycenter.com

Crochet Updates

Buona notte, Angeli.........

And that would be 'Good Evening, Angels....' in Italy ;)

How are you doin'? Mommy is well, Alhamdulillah....Although I'm starting to feel the stiff around my neck is coming back again. I'm afraid it's because of my cholesterol is getting back on the high number again (-_-'). Oh well, perhaps I should try to do crochet on treadmill?! Speaking of Crochet....finally I finished the Yellow Cardigan for Alicia. Boy, it took me 3 weeks to finish it. There were some bored moments in between that I should refreshed myself with a bit of games, tried on some recipes (and it was an un grand succès!), and I even managed to make a new beanie for miss Sophia. So I wiped out my forehead now and I could move on to another new project. Ups, I should do the blocking first (maybe tomorrow...or whenever I made the time :p).

The Picot Stictch

Oh yes, I learned new stitch. The pattern is using Picot stitch for the trimming but I couldn't following the Picot direction on the pattern. So I seek for help from one of my fave Tutorial channel on Youtube, and I was like 'Piece of cake'...You can learn it too ;D!

Now, let's enjoy Baby Finn singing in Remix version....cool dude...

Kjottkaker First Trial

Mommy woke up this morning with the excitement to try on a recipe, and it's everybody favorite. We usually have this particular dish at one of Daddy's Aunty. Mommy and Daddy called her Bi (short called for 'Bibi' or 'Aunty' in English) Nci, but you my darling Angels are calling her 'Oma Sri'. It's Kjottkaker. It's a Norway Meatballs dish, served with delicious Brown Gravy and Boiled Potatoes. Oh yes, it's a Big Hit for us, unfortunately we have to go to Bogor first to enjoy these yummy meatballs :(

It made me wonder if Kjottkaker is easy to make? Or is the ingredients are easy to get??? So, thank you to the Internet and thank you to uncle Google (and how do I know if 'Google' is a men?), I found the recipe....yeayy! And now I know that almost all countries in Europe have this 'Meatballs with Gravy" dish, with the same basic ingredients, but of course it's named differently in each countries. Like in Norway it's called Kjottkaker. The ingredients are turns out easy to get on my local supermarket, they are :

For the Meatballs : Ground Beef, Onion, Butter, Salt, Pepper, Ground Nutmeg, Breads, Milk, Eggs
For the Gravy   : Butter, Onion, Cornflour, Beef stock, Salt, Sour cream, and later on I add some Sugar.

How to cook :
  • Basically you mix all the Meatballs ingredients (earlier, soaked pieces of breads into the milk, I use skimmed milk). Then shape the mixture into meatballs, my sizes are 2 inch of diameters (or as big as my inner palm).
  • Heat some butter to brown the Meatballs. Do this in batches. Then aside the browned Meatballs.

  • Using the same pan, fried onion with butter. Add the cornflour, and stir. Keep on stirring until the flour cook and has the colour of coffee cream then slowly add the Beef stock.
  • Keep on stirring until the sauce is solidify and silky. Add the meatballs and cook them in low heat for around 10 minutes. If you making for a large scale then again do this in batches.

Served The Kjottkaker with boiled potatoes (with skin or no skin) and Lingonberry, that's the original ways to served it. But since Lingonberry is very rare (and if there is must be expensive) in my local supermarket, so I improvised with Strawberry jam :p. I really sorry to all the Norway people out there (if you happen to read this post), I didn't mean to ruin your traditional recipe, but I really liked to experience to eat Kjottkaker in it original way to served (like the Viking does!?) as close as I can....so, I have only Strawberry jam, then Strawberry jam it is... :D

Finally, this is Mommy's Kjottkaker first trial....Bon Appetite ;)

The Quality Testers

One happy testers and one happy costumer

I passed the test! Yeayyy...!!! Alhamdulillah, everybody likes it. Isn't it great when you succeeded on trying new recipes, and your family eat them all to the last bite?!

And these are random pictures I shot earlier in the morning...they're so adorable, and I love them with all my life... :*

ps : I didn't include my measurements, because I didn't exactly followed the recipe's sizes (yes I'm the lady-who's-always-mixed-up-with-measurements). But I looked for guidance from here and here.

pps : Note for my next Kjottkaker, my Gravy should be more thick, and the Onion should finely chopped...ok, got it!

Congratulation "retromummy"

Good Evening, Angels.....

Birth news is always a good news for me, especially one that I followed through pregnancy. If one of you happened to be "retromummy" blog readers too, than you must have felt the same excitement and joy the same like I feel. Oh yes, I've read every single daily 'adventures' that Corrie -the amazing lady behind "retromummy"- had gone through with her big belly along with 4 amazing Toddlers, and Retro Daddy who's gone interstate the whole week but ready on duty at weekend (highly needed reinforcement, I guess ;p). So, even though there's no relation between me and Corrie, and we didn't know each other even met in personally, but her Blog had built that connection between me-Corrie-her family- and also with (I believe) 2000 other "retromummy"s readers.

Corrie will always has special spot in my life. She had inspired me to write again, to blog again with the right purpose. And now, after neglected for some years, I start on posting again, although haven't been able to manage for daily post (yet), but now I'm feeling like a new person. Oh yes I am...because I know that Mommy's blog is a treasure for my babies when they grew up later, when Mommy won't be here to accompanying them again. By reading it they will still feels me close.......well, Angels, I'll always be near, that's a promise...pinky promise (^^,)

Back to topic, again I would say Congratulation dearest Corrie, I love you and your family and of course baby Emerson Charles who responsible for my over excitement and joyness throughout your mummy's pregnancy. And Precious God now you are here, and if only you're close then this women would kiss you and hugs you non-stop ;*...... Now let me share you Joy moments from "retromummy" :

Oh, so Handsome!

Hi there Dolls......

Still in holiday mood, so I guess it's still tolerable to wake up at 9AM, even the morning-alarm monsieur Agasha is also wake up late. We definitely enjoying life here ;)

What's up today? Daddy's clue was, "I want Duck Rice. Let's have Duck Rice". Off we go then to Pondok Indah Mall 2 (PIM 2) to have Duck Rice for lunch, a long with Oma-Opa, Feufeu-Iway, and of course little Miss -high pitched- Sophia. The Food Court was crowded, needed 2 laps before we decided to sit on the outer ring near Pizza Hut. A bit far from the Duck Rice's stall, but the bright side was the children had spaces to running around and still in our sight.

My highlight of the day was the handsome-one-year-old Monsieur Agasha. As he grew the more Mommy likes to dress him up, so todays shopping was for Agasha only.....I know, I can't helped it! Oh he was so cute and damn so handsome wearing red-checkered shirt, cargo pants, and blue canvas shoes....thank goodness he's still a year old. And yes I tried to take some pictures, and hoping for a good-with-no-blur pictures....but......

Since Mommy shot it from camera phone and Agasha wasn't stand still, no surprise the results are poor and messy. But at least we've got the pictures ;p.

And below are the whole collections. The Shirt is a gift of birth, the Pants is from uncle Dimas-aunty Wida, and the Shoes are from uncle Sahal-aunty Yuning.

Like to dress up your little boy too? I recommend you to check on Boys collection at Amazon.com,  they having discounts up to 70%. I've made my picks for my Angels, they're in "Fave for Angels" banner on the side bar ;)

Another things that I would like to recommend is this crochet book...

I didn't buy this from Amazon.com, but it's in my wish list. I love it, it's complete with all the granny shapes you could ever wanted to make. Squares, Hexagons, Triangles, Circles, even unusual shapes. You can take a peek of the inside at Amazon.com...

I Shop at Amazon.com

Morning, Angels......How are you?

Mommy is having a good-warm morning sunshine here today. What a good thing to start a day, don't you think?! (^^,)

If you notice, Mommy made some additions to the blog. Yup, I'd put some banners, Amazon.com banners on the side bar and on the bottom. I'm now an Amazon.com Associates member and am now will always shared to you  amazing goods and Deals from Amazon.com.

Why in a sudden I talking about this? Well, for those who knows me must know exactly what will I do if I'm happy or very pleased about a product or services....yes, I would recommend it like crazy! Same story here when I couraged myself to make an order on Amazon.com, am an old-fashioned lady and yes this was my first international online shopping, for a Boyle Crochet Hook set and a Berserk figurine for my love. The ETA of both packages are supposed to be on July 10th 2012, but lucky Dad his was arrived 2 weeks earlier and now he is one happy and satisfied man who displaying his Berserk figurines on the computer desk. While Mommy is still waiting for her Crochet Hook arrived on July 10th, worth to wait I hope......

Another things I like to do is making wish list, now I have my own wish list and The Angels' wish list. I love browsing on my fave departement on Amazon.com and keep my wish list long ;p. That way I can track on stuff or books I like easily. Oh, and making a wish list doesn't mean that you must buy them all no no! I have dozens of book titles in my wish list, then I checked at my fave bookstore here for some of the titles, then I can choose from where I'll put my order. Unfortunately, the shipping cost to Indonesia is....ehm, not that cheap. So I guess, I just make orders on things that really hard to get in Indonesia, so it'll be worth the cost ;D

If there's any tips from me on shopping at Amazon.com, that would be :

  1. If you interesting to buy a product, don't forget to check on the More Buying Choices box on the right of the page. You'd be surprise to find a much more cheaper price from other seller.
  2. Don't forget to check the Seller Rating and read on the comments and the complaints, so you know whether the Seller is good or not.
  3. You find a good price and a good rating seller, unfortunately the seller doesn't ship to your country, then try to ask them whether they willing to if you interested to buy from them (I did this). How? Just click on the Seller -> Detailed Seller Information -> there'll be a box with an option to contact the seller's costumer service. Write and send the message, and they will reply to you soon.

I guess that's all for now. Mommy must off the computer NOW since there's someone impatiently wanted to use the computer for some games on cbeebies.com........Love you Dear!! :*
